Galaxy class

 Following our writing unit this term about World War II. This week we will be learning about World War I and the Christmas Truce that happened on Christmas Day between the Germans and the English. Today, the children acted out the moments leading up to the famous football match and what happened next. They sang silent night, exchanged pictures of loved ones, exchanged gifts and played a game of football before returning back to their trenches. We will be using this knowledge to write a diary entry from a soldier in the trenches.
