DT prototype of a birdhouse
In DT this term we have been using our skills to make a prototype of a birdhouse. Thinking about connecting shapes together using fold joins, L-braces, flanges and tab and slot to also create details such as the roof, chimney and perches. As well as this its a good opportunity to practise those basic skills of cutting, measuring, estimating and working together as a team, helping each other out and evaluating as we make. We will be showcasing these in our class assembly next term and telling you more about the process.
